“Why do you even collect all these bones and scales?”

Matthew looked up from the dragon skeleton he was rooting through to see his partner watching him with a weary look.  ”What do you mean?”

“Exactly what I said.”  Onmund sighed and wiped a hand across his face.  ”It’s not as if you’re going to craft armor out of them.  You have me carrying about 300 pounds of these, and you’re probably carrying about 100 pounds.  I’d just like to know why.”

A small grin showed up on Matthew’s face as he moved to a new section of the skeleton.  ”You know Farengar Secret-Fire in Whiterun?”

“Yes.”

“And you know how he’s always going on about dragons?”

“Just get to the point, Matthew.”

“Well, for a while now, whenever I don’t feel like roaming around Skyrim trying to sell these bones and scales, I’ve been sneaking into Farengar’s room at night and leaving them there.”

“So you mean…”

“As of the last time I was there, there were about 100 bits of dragon remains cluttering up his room.”

Matthew returned to his rummaging, and Onmund was silent for a beat or two before he broke down in laughter.  He quickly sobered up, however when he saw Matthew giving the dragon’s skull an appraising look, trying to pick it up.

“No.  Absolutely not.  Put it down.  Now.”

Just a doodle and drabble to go along with this whole shindig from the other day.
Oh, and  the count on dragon remains in Farengar’s room is now at 82 Bones and 80 Scales.
